That's right... We’re looking to add a new full-time member to the team to focus on Tasting Room operations, Direct to Consumer sales and Wine Club experienceWe’re looking for someone who will increase sales and promote brand loyalty by expanding our Wine Club offerings, engaging with the community, and building relationships. This new team member should be energetic and self-starting, have excellent written and oral communication skills, deliver superb customer service, and come prepared to join a team ready to grow! Ours is a friendly, supportive and fun work environment with lots of opportunity for growth and new ideas.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Develop and implement Wine Club member offerings, events and outreach
  • Oversee regular Wine Club fulfillment and associated events
  • Participate in local and regional tastings, events and community activities
  • Submit and track wine awards and press 
  • Assure compliance with Direct to Consumer licensing by state
  • Contribute to Social Media content across various platforms
  • Set and incentivize regular sales goals for Tasting Room staff
  • Implement trainings and continued education for Tasting Room staff
  • Maintain inventory at Tasting Room and arrange for restocking as needed
  • Maintain daily sales records and accurately use POS system and Wine Club software (Bloom)
  • Assist in retail merchandising
  • Scheduling Tasting Room employee shifts
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming environment at the Tasting Room
  • Assist in building relationships within the community to promote Mendocino County wines on the whole


  • Must have knowledge, appreciation and passion for wine (better still if it’s for our wine!)
  • At least 3 years experience in the wine industry, specifically with Wine Clubs, Tasting Rooms and Direct to Consumer wine sales
  • Must have innate skills in customer service and satisfaction
  • Must have experience planning and executing events
  • Must have experience with DTC state licensing - or the ability to learn quickly
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and POS system (Shopify, Bloom) - or the ability to learn quickly
  • Must be able to multitask effectively and manage daily operations and long-term projects
  • Must be a team player and a self-starter
  • Must be willing to work primarily at the Hopland Tasting Room, but also at the Farm in Potter Valley and at other events, as needed
  • Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma required, college degree preferred


This position will earn an annual base salary of $30,000-$40,000 (based on experience and qualifications), plus bonuses based on commission. We offer two weeks of paid vacation per year (accrual begins after the first 3 months) plus most major holidays. We are an equal opportunity employer.
