Fresh and natural, our extra long Garlic Braids make an impressive culinary gift and a spectacular decoration in the kitchen or on your table. Made from California late harvest soft-neck garlic, we begin braiding in the end of July and sell till they're gone. Each Garlic Braid is handcrafted and beautifully bundled together using smaller bulbs for a convenient way to display and use for your favorite recipes. Because the garlic is still on the stem it should last 6-9 months from harvest. Store in a cool dry place. Sizes of the bulbs may vary from one harvest to the next. 
Will last several years for decorative use.

For best results...

Gently cut netting with scissors to remove braid without injury to bulbs.
Find the little string hook on the back of the braid and hang in a cool, dry place, preferably out of direct heat and sunlight.

To use your garlic in the kitchen... 

Twist off one bulb at a time, working from top to bottom - the bulbs at the bottom have the longest stems so they will stay fresh the longest (6-9 Months)

    Very pretty

    Received garlic braid and 9 bulb cloves had fallen off but otherwise in good order. I will use anyway. Smells my kitchen up which I love.

    I just received my 3 foot garlic braid today. I have already made several bottles of garlic and basil infused olive oil. It is also very decorative in my kitchen warming it up!

    Better than Christmas!

    Opening a box containing a 3-foot garlic braid is better than Christmas in my opinion! It is the gift that will keep on giving all year long. The bulbs are fantastic quality and will be a staple in my kitchen going forward. The braid is highly ornamental as well.

    PS part two -- a correction

    Excuse me dear friends at McFadden's. I worded one thing incorrectly and want to amend so this kind of issue can be improved for others. The garlic braid itself is shipped in a nice net, that's not in question, but the paper wrapped around the braid was inadequate, very loose, inside the box, and I think this is what caused it to arrive with five bulbs broken off the braid. The braid was nestled inside the netting, but having rolled around in the box for some days, entire bulbs broke off the braid, making it look pretty raggle taggle upon arrival. Anyway, the garlic is still wonderful for cooking, just not so beautiful to hang in the kitchen or bring to someone as a gift. Tess
